Precisely placed BroadBand Light
BBL HEROic is precisely placed BroadBand Light® from Sciton, used for sun damage, redness, and uneven tone. It uses pulsed light on unwanted pigment, redness and rosacea, facial vessels, acne, age and sun spots, and uneven skin tone, and it also treats the appearance of lax skin and the appearance of aging skin. Intelligent Control™ software and the Skin Positioning System™ coordinate each pulse with the movement of the handpiece, on the face or the body. BBL HEROic is light, not a laser.

Results and downtime
- Results are not immediate. They become noticeable in 1 to 2 weeks. Treated spots darken, rise to the surface and flake away as tiny particles called MENDS. On the face this takes about a week, on the hands about three weeks, and areas farther from the heart take longer. There is little to no downtime, and most people return to normal activities right away.
- The skin can continue to improve in the weeks and months that follow.

Sun protection comes first
Avoid sun exposure for 1 month before treatment. Before treatment and through healing, wear sunscreen, UPF clothing and a hat.

Treatment
A full face takes about 10 minutes. Adding other areas takes longer. A clear gel goes on the skin, then the handpiece glides across it. Most people describe a quick snap that fades as the light pulses. CoolComfort™ cools the surface, so numbing cream is not part of the usual plan. The skin can feel warm for about 30 to 60 minutes afterward.

Forever Clear BBL uses BroadBand Light in three steps for acne, redness, and inflammation. Blue light is applied to acne-causing bacteria in the pores. A clear gel is applied. Pulsed light is aimed at visible vessels and pigmented spots, which the body then clears. Heat in the collagen-rich skin also starts a healing response, which can soften fine lines.
Most people describe a quick snap that fades as the handpiece moves. CoolComfort cools the skin during the treatment. Afterward, the skin can feel warm for about 30 to 60 minutes.
There is little to no downtime. Skin can feel sensitive, like a mild sunburn, for up to 48 hours. Pigmented spots may look darker for a short time, with some redness and swelling. Avoid direct sun, wear a broad-spectrum SPF 50 or higher for the first 72 hours, and follow the instructions you leave with. Skincare and makeup can typically be resumed within 1 to 2 days. Keep wearing sunscreen, UPF clothing and a hat while the skin heals.
